Actually, that was the case in the previous version 0.99.16, which, like 
1.0.0, never made it into Debian because its old team is inactive.

I'm not sure about the best way to handle this situation. I sent an 
email to their mailing list, but the only reply I got was from the NMU 
uploader for libgpod who is not a team member.
