Alexey Yakovenko (the author) says that the bundled libraries were modified
by him in one way or another, so probably the package wouldn't build/work 
without them (it seems that also the Gentoo maintainer complained for the 
same reason).

The todo list for the package, currently is:
* Finish the debian/copyright. There are many different copyright holders 
  and licenses (mainly for the plugins), this may take a while.
* Make the remove-encoding-from-desktop-file patch work. I made this in
  order to fix a lintian tag, but for some reasons it doesn't get on well
  with intltool so I disabled it.
* Review the package.

There is probably something more that I missed, but for now it's enough.
