Perhaps - in addition to full command invoked - also mention which 
version of lintian you are using, both of you.

Upstream is free to have other priorities than Debian.

Debian has a strong interest in sharing code across the many many many 
many projects that we tie together in a unified distribution.

So please do investigate: Perhaps try figure out which version the 
embedded copies derive from, make diffs against the pristine sources, 
and try figure out if a) the changes are crucial for the functionality 
of deadbeef, and b) if perhaps the changes are relevant generally for 
those shared libraries in Debian - and perhaps even upstream (even if 
upstream deadbeef author didn't find it relevant to pass the patches 
upstream).
