[OT] External audio interface recommendations?

I've found my Indigo IO work well so far, it needs alsa-firmware though,
and echomixer (packaged in alsa-tools). It has the advantage of that
since you just plug it in the cardbus slot, it stays in there (instead
of FW and USB where you have move two pieces of hardware around, both
the laptop and the soundcard). And the quality is quite good also,
according to my ears as well as the specs (IIRC).
