Arrgh - make sure at least to avoid such patch trickling upstream, as it 
is tied to the use of the Debian-specific python-shared framework!

I had a quick look at the packaging source and would like to help 
improve it (as mention in a different thread, it would be awesoem if 
possible for the scons.mk snippet to gain multi-flavor support so as to 
structurally build for all Python flavors!), but have no time for this 
at the moment (and besides my laptop is half broken so I cannot compile 
packages currently).
