Bug#634400: Info received (Any clues on these Morituri regression test failures?)

well, my brain is fried this week, so the best would be to read both
tickets, understand why the fix works for ubuntu and not for debian, and
then suggest a fix or a patch.

I remember it taking a while to track down, but the info is in the bug
reports and should explain the problem...
