On the man page
              [ and ]
                   Decrease/increase current playback speed by 10%.
              { and }
                   Halve/double current playback speed.

Actually mplayer -af scaletempo should be the default, so these keys act
like they would on common portable MP3 players. Are there any MP3
players that don't scaletempo?
