I tend to disgree. The current bug report shows that this might become
an issue anyway. Putting the blame on apt-get is lame, we have something
like e.g. apt pinning for a reason and nothing forces you to remove old
packages on dist-upgrades. Adding ">= 2.4" in debian/pycompat will not
hurt, either. ;)
