Package: audacity
Version: 1.3.12-14
Severity: important

SUMMARY

If audacity is left open without any project in it, after some time,
it starts consuming all the CPU (see 99%).

PID USER PRI NI VIRT RES SHR S CPU% MEM% TIME+ Command
   21375 root 20 0 703M 213M 7816 R 99.0 3.1 44h09:38 audacity

WHAT HAPPENED

- Edit about 10 projects (record audio, kill project; <repeat>)
- Remove all projects (the opening frame is blank)
- Have it sit "idle" on the Window manager [Gnome] (here 44h).

The high CPU loads are exhibited (> 90%).
