Remi,
Thanks for supplying the patch. I managed to compile it after some trouble with a missing libavcodec. I then ran it with '-vv' and '--vout xv' args. Output is attached. Hopefully you can make some sense of it.

Unfortunately, I have no clue what the problem is. From the VLC logs, it just
looks like there are no XVideo adaptors on the system. The attached patch
should show more debug, but it won't fix the problem.
