Confirmed, binutils-gold no longer is a working workaround.

No, it doesn't. If you checkout svn 1994 instead of 1995, it will also
fail with binutils-gold.

We have replacement code ready (a new debug module).


I'll update the package as soon as we have a working upstream version.
