This is almost the same bug as #637077.

Steps to reproduce:
1) sudo apt-get install freeciv-sound-standard
2) mplayer -ao null /usr/share/games/freeciv/stdsounds/Splash.ogg

Expected results:
2) mplayer exits succesfully.

Actual results:
2) mplayer prints
