Package: mplayer2
Version: 2.0-426-gc32b3ed-2
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,
First - I am sorry for reporting from ubuntu
Iit ships mplayer2 deb from wheezy as-is, so it should be ok
The mplayer2 people confirmed the bug and pointed me to the already-committed
fix:
http://git.mplayer2.org/mplayer2/commit/?id=0e752d586362b95288f1a94f7c2588016719d838
Bug details:
using mplayer2 -vo Xv makes it very likely crash when the video changes
resolution
for example: mpeg-ts from dvb-t broadcast. I can provide
sample, if really necessary.
Xv is used by default
Some other minor VOs might be also affected
as a workaround, -vo gl can be used
Full error messge:
MPlayer interrupted by signal 11 in module: key_events
- MPlayer crashed by bad usage of CPU/FPU/RAM.
Recompile MPlayer with --enable-debug and make a 'gdb' backtrace and
disassembly. Details in DOCS/HTML/en/bugreports_what.html#bugreports_crash.
- MPlayer crashed. This shouldn't happen.
It can be a bug in the MPlayer code _or_ in your drivers _or_ in your
gcc version. If you think it's MPlayer's fault, please read
DOCS/HTML/en/bugreports.html and follow the instructions there. We can't and
won't help unless you provide this information when reporting a possible
bug.
