The remaining time of each and every track in my library is off by 24
seconds when using the ALSA output module.

I use the PulseAudio sink for ALSA and guess this is related.

The funny thing is that cmus starts counting down at $length - 24
seconds, then when reaching 0:00 (which is 24 seconds before the real
end of the track) the status ba skips to the next tack and then stats
the countdown at $length. eal playback of that tack then begins 24
seconds late, setting the ocunter 24 seconds off once again ... So the
complete status display is 24 seconds off compared to real audio.
