This turns out to be less trivial than I thought - mostly due to the 
sheer number of binary packages created from libav and to the mixture 
of paths for multiarch and optimized libraries.

However, it is doable. I have a working but ugly solution at home that 
needs some clean up to reduce redundancy and account for readability. 
I'll try to work on it next week.
