Like I said, that’s probably a personal preference that should be
talked about inside the team. I’ll crawl back under my stone now
that I’ve got a bootstrap-libav on my Atari VMs…

If that can be done, sure. Maybe quilt can be patched to get
parameters like --diffstat-if-exists and --diffstat-if-at-least=$number
to support that workflow. I’ll leave it to you all.

Actually, this was originally written by the people on this list,
the Maintainer’s Guide and the Perl people. I just put it together
and used the ingenious while-not-as-a-loop construct to make it
legible. So just take it and do what you want ☺ my benefit is that
I’ve now also got a .quiltrc; I’m relatively new to this tool. (And
it needs to get ported to MirBSD and then, maybe, bashisms removed.)
