Unfortunately, not all software is provided as Debian packages (in
particular, Firefox extensions). It would be a bad idea to remove
ffmpeg without leaving time for the other developers to update
their software. FYI, I've just reported the bug for DownloadHelper:

  http://bugzilla.downloadhelper.net:8080/show_bug.cgi?id=467

The DownloadHelper conversion guide mentions Ubuntu concerning ffmpeg,
so that its developer should be concerned to what happens in Debian.

Also note that my main complaint was the wording in the package
description (due the "transitional package" term, I removed ffmpeg
several months ago, without knowing that it would remove a binary).
