SMplayer Bugs in Debian

I've just realized that the post-installation runs as root, so this
isn't going to work. So forget my patch. I'll try to find another
solution.

Have you considered to patch mplayer2 to not abort when using the
-fontconfig option and instead display a warning about using a
deprecated option?

Anyway you have to notice that as development goes on, mplayer2 and
mplayer will be more and more different between them, so in my opinion
it's a mistake to pretend that mplayer2 is the same as mplayer. They
are not compatible anymore. Now it's the -fontconfig option in the
future it will be another thing. I don't want to include complicated
code in smplayer to try to recognize if the mplayer executable is
mplayer or mplayer2, specially when I think that the best solution is
extremely simple and obvious, mplayer and mplayer2 are two different
applications, each have to have its own name.
