This is symptomatic of a broken stream, a slow computer or faulty 
hardware/drivers. Unfortunately, without the VLC logs, it is really impossible 
to investigate this bug.

Please retry with the current VLC version and provide the verbose log (vlc -
vv) or close the bug.
