What I did today:
- manage the commit hook with RCS (I hope nobody objects here, but for
single files in this use-case, it's IMO adequate)
- limit to a max of 10 mails per git push, other mails are (currently)
silently discarded
This should prevent mail bombs such as mine effectively with little
impact on our current workflows.
