Is the developer's mailing list jack-devel at jackaudio.org addressable for
Debian user help?(I'm guessing Debian does not either fork nor change it
too much for me to be concerned, but I'd like to know before contacting
jack-devel's mailinglist)

I'm very stuck here, jackd ultimately isn't working here for me on
Wheezy. jackd fails to start with the help of qjackctl and I'm not sure
if it's either a bug or me doing something wrong..

(I get an output from jackd -R -d alsa,
"ALSA: Cannot open PCM device alsa_pcm for playback. Falling back to
capture-only mode
Cannot initialize driver
JackServer::Open failed with -1
Failed to open server
"
tried looking at various avenues .asoundrc, I can see something about
jack with dbus when using dbus-monitor..

Not sure if it's related to the software setup or if it's due to the
onboard intel sound hardware.. I'm using kernel 3.9 from backports
