Or, if you want to help with a CDBS-using package bothering the least 
possible about CDBS, please simply do not edit control.in at all - leave 
that for others to cleanup later.

Even if you release a package officially into Debian, it does no harm to 
have control.in out of sync - it is *only* a help for CDBS lovers for 
some (to us) improved management routines.

See README.source of e.g. csound where I emphasize that point.  I do 
that after learning that some avoid NMUing or in other ways helping out 
with CDBS-using packages solely based on a myth that control.in does 
incomprehensible magic crucial for the package.
