Package: smplayer
Version: 0.8.0-1
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

   * What led up to the situation?
Tried to watch video with smplayer
   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?
     Enqueed smplayer via nautilus
   * What was the outcome of this action?
Error message: mplayer has exited with error code 1
   * What outcome did you expect instead?
     Playing video stream/file

smplayer in Debian/testing seems to be broken.

mplayer/smplayer seems to be using -fontconfig switch whitch is unknown to the
application and application stops.

Attached is an OGG/Vorbis stream showing the error message!

With many greetings

Adrian Immanuel KIESS
