Hi Marco,

thanks for your report -- unfortunately mencoder is not available for sid at 
all as it has been removed from the archive. The package you have been using 
is left over from wheezy. At best, we should be making other package 
dependencies such that the old mencoder package you had is removed from your 
system by apt as part of a dist-upgrade.

If you are looking for alternatives to mencoder, then the "avconv" utility 
from the libav-tools package is probably the best place to start.

conflict to force users of libdvdnavmini to be removed?)
