Yes, I know. But from the discussion that happened around that time, I
gathered that the oss module is there for the BSDs and not for Linux.
(If I remember Rémi's comments about OSS incorrectly, feel free to
correct me.)

Sorry for the confusion. I meant vlc's OSS module everywhere.
