Sorry, I just was passing on what Iceweasel/Firefox reported to me; I
have no more information to give. Perhaps if you do 'Check if you
plugins are up to date' in Iceweasel's plugin page (with the vlc plugin
installed obviously) you will see something more useful to you)?
