Looks hardening related. Let's give the buildlog to upstream, and see
what they think.

Hello Remon,

How are you? Hope you are doing well.

We've been trying to build the traverso's new 0.49.3 release on Debian
unstable, unfortunately the build fails.
It seems it is caused by the hardening options enabled by default at
compile time, I'm attaching a buildlog.
We'd love to sort this out in time for Jessie, which means that it
should be fixed by the beginning of September.
