By the "just me" question, I meant the way the buttons show up in the Crash
Recovery window after I re-open Audacity. :)

Does the failed assertion error show up if you only open a single-track
project?
Here it happened on both a single and multiple track project, stereo and
mono tracks as well.

Also, I need to correct a phrase I wrote above, it didn't make much sense,
I'll put the correction between asterisks:

This leaves me unable to click on anything, as the clicks aren't registered
by the OS, *however* the cursor works fine (I can move it around).
If I try to select "Continue" on that window * (using the keyboard) *, I am
finally able to click, but *after getting rid of that window, * no matter
what I click in Audacity, be it a menu, button or a widget, the error shows
up again* and if I select the "Continue" button, Audacity crashes with a
segfault.:
