Hi Martin,
I get the same error which Klaumi reported.
I installed Audacity today using Synaptic, then I recorded both sides of a turntable without problems.
First time that error occured after pressing ctrl-B, it always occurs when playing a .aup file, also those files which were created with my old Debian system (Lenny or Squeeze).
An empty dialog window opens which can't be closed and the app window doen't react by any click, while still playing the file.

Audacity Version: 2.0.6-1 

OS: 3.17-1.towo.2-siduction-amd64 #1 SMP PREEMPT siduction 3.17-7 (2014-10-18) x86_64 GNU/Linux
