Wrong.
blender | 2.72.b+dfsg0-3 | jessie | source, amd64, arm64, armel, armhf, i386, kfreebsd-amd64, kfreebsd-i386, mips, mipsel, powerpc, ppc64el, s390x
blender | 2.72.b+dfsg0-3 | sid | source, amd64, arm64, armel, armhf, hurd-i386, i386, kfreebsd-amd64, kfreebsd-i386, mips, mipsel, powerpc, ppc64el, s390x
blender | 2.73+dfsg0-1 | experimental | source, mips
blender | 2.73.a+dfsg0-1 | experimental | source, amd64, arm64, armel, armhf, hurd-i386, i386, kfreebsd-amd64, kfreebsd-i386, mipsel, powerpc, ppc64el, s390x
And wheezy (if you mean that) has an even older one
blender | 2.63a-1+deb7u1 | wheezy | source, amd64, armel, armhf, i386, ia64, kfreebsd-amd64, kfreebsd-i386, mips, mipsel, powerpc, s390, s390x, sparc
So where do you see 2.70a?
Besides that: stable (wheezy right now) won't ever be updated with a newer upstream and jessie/sid are "stuck" because of the freeze/upcoming jessie release.
experimental *has* 2.73a. I'd bet it will enter unstable/sid soon as
soon as jessie is released and the freeze is over.

Rene
