It still happens
I've included attachments:
vlc-vvv.txt: contains the output when calling vlc from the command line
vlc_gdb_bt.txt: the output of "bt" when running vlc within gdb
vlc_bt_full.txt: the output of "bt full" from gdb
A few notes.
From reportbug-ng:
"Use "rm ~/.cache/vlc/plugins-*.dat" to remove your plugins cache."
~/.cache/vlc/ doesn't exist
"Check that modules are correctly loaded: "vlc -vvv --color --list"
If you have yellow warning lines at the top, that could well be the
problem"
There are no yellow warning lines produced by that command
If you have installed libraries from other repositories (e.g. to use
allegedly patent-encumbred encoders), revert to the official Debian
libraries before reporting a bug.
The only thing I've installed from outside of the Debian repo
is libdvdcss2 from the vlc repo to get DVD playback working
