It also contains a summary of the arguments for switching to FFmpeg.

Currently Libav only builds GPL-2+ and with libavcodec-extra* GPL-3+
libraries.
Since the only additional functionality of the extra variant is limited
to an AMR encoder [3]. Thus I don't think this justifies the additional
complexity of the extra variant.
