You can check what /git/pkg-multimedia/setup-repository does.

I would suggest to create the repository using that script, and then do:

cd ffmpeg.git ; git fetch /git/collab-maint/ffmpeg.git

I don't think a simple cp/move will do the right thing to permissions.
