i was going to suggest/do that as well (after i had confirmed last night
that eder.debian.org (the mipsel porter box) built the package without
problems (with and without parallelism) - confirming james' observation.

according to [1], everything has now build correctly.

you might want to close both #788210 and #788231 (i don't think there is
need for an arch removal anymore)
