now that both ardour (4.2) and ardour3 (back to 3.5.403) are uploaded to
unstable, i wonder about that last line:
shouldn't we drop ardour3 asap? right now?

probably adding another transitional package (for stretch).

i simply see no reason to keep ardour3 around, and it has a crasher bug
(#778363) triggered by loading any MIDI file (i think that should be
raised to "important").
