Bug#799558: inkscape: SVG files are (re-)opened at arbitrary zoom level; usually showing minor portions of the page, only

Package: inkscape
Version: 0.91-5
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

When opening SVG files, inkscape seems to choose arbitrary zoom levels. In most
cases only a small part of the page is shown. It happens regardless whether the
image has been created/edited with Inkscape before or not. This requires the
user to manually set a usable level for viewing the image or working on it.

After my opinion, images created/edited in Inkscape should be re-opened at the
same zoom level that was used when they were last saved. As a fall-back value,
a zoom level showing the whole page (same as pressing [5]) would be a
comfortable solution.

Regards

Andreas
