Dear Debian Multimedia team,
In the last year I've spent time practising formal backports and
updating packages, and since sometime this last fall I've been doing
uploads to debian-mentors. Currently I think the only packages in the
Debian archive with my name on them are the exfat-fuse and and
exfat-utils backports to Jessie.
I'd like to join the Debian Multimedia team as my next step in
becoming more involved with Debian development. My alioth account
name is sten-guest, my irc nick on oftc and freenode is nick[0]. My
first choice of usernames is sten, because it's what I've been using
since my undergrad. Also, that's what I used when I was doing
packaging work for CRUX Linux from 2004 to 2006. My second choice
would be either nick0 or nsteeves. I am subscribed to backports,
debian-mentors, pkg-multimedia-maintainers, and
pkg-multimedia-commits.
My bug-managing experience is mostly with btrfs-tools. Here is a
updated package I uploaded to debian mentors today:
http://mentors.debian.net/package/audacious
Alternatively, one can download the package with dget using this command:
dget -x http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/a/audacious/audacious_3.7.2-1.1.dsc
I'm also working on closing bug #780081 (btrfs-tools), but I'm not
sure how the bug tracker and package rename interact. I'm providing
it for review here, because I imagine that being able to properly
rename a package is a necessary prerequisite for joining a team:
http://mentors.debian.net/package/btrfs-progs
Alternatively, one can download the package with dget using this command:
dget -x http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/b/btrfs-progs/btrfs-progs_4.4.1-1.1.dsc
Kind regards,
Nicholas
