The new alpha releases are fixed indeed, but the fix is not simple and I'm
not comfortable with either back-porting it either with uploading 17.0
alphas to unstable. There are many add-on packages depending on Kodi's
API and they need to be updated as well with each major Kodi update
and I'm not sure if all the addon upstreams are ready for Kodi 17 already.

I'm uploading a fixed kodi 17 to experimental soon, but please keep jasper in
testing for kodi for a few short months.
