Package: kodi
Version: 16.1+dfsg1-1
Followup-For: Bug #832364
Dear Maintainer,
I have the same bug. I think it has something to do with the MPEG-TS container format which is used by broadcast TV. If you use VLC to convert a video file to MPEG2 video/AC3 audio encapsulated in MPEG-TS, Kodi suffers the same crash. A video converted to MPEG-PS with the same av codecs does not suffer the same crash.
