Bingo ... configere.ac file also had to be patched ;)

Dependants of libgig are:
 qsampler  version in unstable should build with libgig 4.0.0
 gigedit which needs to be updated to version 1.0.0 - I am considering
to became uploader of it

Is there still chance to get it uploaded if there is transition freeze?
