This and other errors have been fixed in this commit:
https://github.com/calf-studio-gear/calf/commit/784c8428c885bc420291de63e0dd7e2839e682bd

Adding this patch allows it to build on my amd64 system.

However, this breaks the build on GCC 5 and probably other compilers
like Clang. Someone has reported such a breakage here:
