Seeking with either the terminal or mpv's X window in focus works.
The OSD works in the sense that seeking works, but the OSD doesn't refresh (unless I seek).

For information, I can reliably reproduce the issue, with videos in a variety of formats.
Setting --hwdec=no didn't change anything.
