Yes I did.
Now I tried again and I noticed that I can reproduce this only if I
start inkscape by
    inkscape additional-card-request.pdf
in a terminal (or probably also if I load the pdf directly at inkscape
startup); instead if I open inkscape with a blank document, and then do
File → Import, it doesn't crash; odd.

I can't reproduce this at all with 0.92; could you please try with the
.deb I uploaded to
https://volatile.mapreri.org/2017-01-03/8322a737d1f856934c62883734bd27b1/inkscape_0.92~pre4-0~exp0_amd64.deb
