Bug#858617: Fails to load certain JPEG files

Package: inkscape
Version: 0.92.1-1
Severity: normal
inkscape fails to load (or import) the following 1.4Mb image file:
https://gemex.eurac.edu/dl/?t=ada658ec062a8ff67c9360852058c3f1
This is a (seemingly) standard JPEG image produced by OpenCamera on Android.
Interestingly, it fails to load only in inkscape.
$ inkscape IMG_20161206_163501.jpg
GdkPixbuf loader failed
When doing an import, the image preview says "Linked image not found".
Import fails with "Unable to load ...".
I thought about an issue with libgtk-pixbuf, but all programs I tried that link
with gtk-pixbuf (g3data, glade with an image widget, ...) load the image
without a problem.
Just resaving the image as jpeg with gimp or imagemagick's "convert" fixes the
issue, so there's some sort of issue specific to this image and to inkscape as
well.
