I don't know what I was thinking, this is of course the correct 
solution.
Possibly I was confused by a dpkg-shlibdeps failure caused by me missing 
to
update the debian/libjack-jackd2-0.shlibs file.

I'll upload a fixed packages shortly. Thanks for your help!
