Please consider the attached patches.
The package compiles in unstable and stable;
I am testing the binary qt5 mixer package with success so far in stretch.
(half an hour, single stereo 48kHz: no xruns:)
All patches tagged for upstream have been forwarded.

The first patch should be imported into the upstream git branch.
It contains the reviewed diff between 2.3.0 and 2.4.0.
The following commits are intended for the packaging branch.
