    Hello,

Debian built VLC against a version of FFmpeg that cannot combine threaded 
decoding and hardware decoding.

You either have to use libav, or a more recent FFmpeg, or manually turn off 
threaded decoding in VLC preferences.

VLC upstream cannot go back in time to fix old FFmpeg versions.
