bitmeter fails to cross build from source, because it uses a broken,
outdated, embedded copy of PKG_CHECK_MODULES (in aclocal.m4). The
relevant bug is already fixed in the upstream macro (for a very long
time). Please remove your copy and use the system copy of this macro.
Failing that, please update your copy and register[1] it with the
security tracker.
