Issue with shotdetect build (compiled from apt sources)

Dear Debian Multimedia Maintainer team,
:)

 From https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=694299, I
understand that you are the package maintainer for "shotdetect"?

I'm having issues with shotdetect on Debian10, from the "apt source
shotdetect" package: Debuild generates a binary alright, but that
executable crashes when processing a videofile. The binary version
installed from "apt install shotdetect" however, works fine on the same
videofile.

Please let me know if you are the right address for reporting/handling
issues like this?
I'd like to help fixing this!

I also wanted to ask if it'd be possible to enable 2 patches (1005,
1006) that are included in the debian source package, but currently
"unused"?
See: https://sources.debian.org/copyright/license/shotdetect/1.0.86-5.1/

Those patches were written by me and committed upstream in 2013, and
sanctioned by Johan Mathe as to be included in the never-released latest
upstream version.

The patched version is running production-stable since 2011 for
professional video digitization quality-control in video archive
environments, so I can guarantee that they're stable and useful :)

Looking forward to hearing from you!
Thanks in advance,
Peter Bubestinger-Steindl
