[debian-mysql] Bug#500150: mysql-server-5.0: bug in subquery handling not found in most recent upstream

Package: mysql-server-5.0
Version: 5.0.51a-12
Severity: important

So I just ran across this bug which is not present in 5.0.67
upstream. My report on the bug is at:
---
http://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=39639

Essentially, the subquery form of an identical join statement is
returning data under 5.0.51 as packaged by Debian but is not returning
any data at all, as it should, under the most recent upstream (I
actually built Ubuntu's 5.0.67 on my Debian box to test this).

Anyway, point being, there shouldn't be any difference in the
results between using the subquery versus using the join, but there are.
Any advice? It looks like upstream has closed the bug since it's
apparently fixed in 5.0.67 on their end.
